Curling comes to West Virginia!!
The idea of Morgantown Curling Club in started in 2018, after a few friends traveled to Pittsburgh to curl. The trip (up and back) was twice as long as their time curling on the ice. ​On a dark drive back on I-79, the idea was born.

The magic of social media quickly brought the community together around curling. Townies soon donated enough funds to purchase the equipment needed to prepare the ice and to rent our first stones.
West Virginia's first curling session took place on December 21st, 2019. The first of many sessions focused to teach the basics of the sport to newcomers: stone delivery, terminology, game rules, and etiquette.

These sessions are designed to get people excited about curling. With enough interest, game play will tentatively start in November of 2022. With continued excitement and participation from locals, Morgantown Curling Club hopes to sweep the BOPARC ice for years to come.
